Guru Full on Feast - Our First Impressions!

Earlier this summer Guru announced that they where going to release their first grain free recipe; Full On Feast, I couldn't wait! I always buy/feed Grain Free where possible so was really excited! The Dachshunds have previously tried Guru's original recipe "Surf & Turf" before and loved it (click here to read our post about it!).
This post is our first impressions of "Full on Feast", our full review will be posted on the Guru site - I will link it here once it's been posted! :-)

Firstly, one of the things that Guru is seriously good at is their packaging! I love the natural coordinating colours that they use, making each product standout without being in your face or too bright, I think I actually prefer the packaging on the Full on Feast's bag! (Please excuse the raggedy bag - Daisy cocker tried to her herself!)

Upon opening it, the dogs went mad! Even fussy Ava wanted it!
The new grain free recipe, Full on Feast is slightly different, containing Duck, Sea Fish and Vegetables whereas the original recipe, Surf and Turf is Beef, Sea Fish and Vegetables, the shape of the kibbles has stayed this same which I'm very glad about! The bigger pieces mean that the dachs actually have to chew their food rather than inhale it!
Possibly my favourite part of this is that Full on Feast is only 10% fat - as a fussy dachshund parent i'm constantly watching their weight and so many of the higher end dry foods have a ridiculous fat percentage! I can happily let my two enjoy their Guru without worrying about the fat levels!

If you're thinking about trying Guru you can buy a sample pack direct, I would completely recommend Guru, not only is their food brilliant but so is the whole idea behind it. and not forgetting the OG's - Lisa and Sam!

July Favourites!

We have a summery themed collection this month, because for once England actually did summer properly! (for most of it, anyway!)

Our first favourite is this gorgeous bandana from our lovely friend Chloe from her new esty shop. Lily and Sev wear a size small, which range from £5.50 - £6.50 the quality of these is incredible, they are so beautifully sewn and the fabrics are all gorgeous! Separate more detailed post to follow - i've already placed a second order!

My second favourite, are these gorgeous leads from Ruby Spaniel, the quality of these is brilliant and they where and absolute bargain at £6.00 each! I bought Light Pink and Light Blue.

The dogs' favourite this month has definitely been their paddling pool! Especially Sev and Ava, they loved it!

And lastly, the new range from Duke Loves Fergie! My personal favourite is the "Nope Tank" and the "Haute Dog Tote" Definitely need both of those!

Introducing the Hettie!

Myself and the dogs are lucky enough to live in the middle of the English countryside surrounded by fields and farmland, having grown up like this also theres something about British Heritage and Craftsmanship that I just adore.

The Hettie is a company that is inspired by just that, they are a small family run business based in Warwickshire all of their gorgeous products are lovingly designed and hand made in the UK using British made wool.
Hettie not only make a range of beautiful handbags and matching accessories but also produce co-ordinating dog products; the Jasper Dog Coat and the Scooby Dog Harness. both of which I was kindly sent to review!

Lily and Sev where the first dachshunds that had tested the products and anyone that owns a dach will know how awkward it is to find coats etc that fit due to their shape! Sian sent us both items in size small.
Firstly I tested the Jasper coat, we received it in the "Multispot Natural" colour way, which is absolutely gorgeous and definitely my favourite pattern that they currently the make! The background is a soft cream with a variety of coloured spots, it's just beautiful and the workmanship in this coat is divine! Now onto the bit I was most anxious about; the fit! The coat was an absolute perfect fit on both dachs, even Sev who is ridiculously long!! This coat fitted Lily better that most items that where specifically made for daxies! It features a beautiful lined collar, reinforced harness whole and adjustable openings on both the chest and around the waist, it was warm and comfy without being bulky which is something I always look for. It retails at £120 and is worth every penny, it is beautiful, right down to the gorgeous polka dot lining!

The lovely ladies at Hettie where also kind enough to send us the Scooby harness in the Gargrave Lilac colour way, which is also stunning! I was really impressed with this harness, it fitted perfectly around the neck and sat comfortably on Lily, but what I liked the post is that the fabric of the harness was longer than most "vest" style harnesses meaning that it didn't ride up on Lily's chest like most others we've tried do! The only issue we found was that the strap that went around the waist was a bit too long for Lily (I've tucked it under the loops in the photos!). The Scooby harness also retails at £120.

Overall I was super impressed with the Hettie products, they are all utterly beautiful and exquisitely well made! I cannot wait to see the new Autumn fabrics and products!
